Various plants in the hills around Lake Hollywood Reservoir.

Rock and its shadow on this plateau in the Hollywood Hills.

Yep, it's the Hollywood sign. And a transmission tower that's near it.

Prickles

Oh, let's call it pussywillow, in the hills above Lake Hollywood Reservoir.

Unreserved

The Lake Hollywood Reservoir, in the hills above Hollywood, from many angles:

Look at the rocks

At the Universal City Overlook along the Mulholland Scenic Parkway I was looking at these rocks. In the shot on the left, I noticed how the shadows of the power lines ran along the length of the rocks.

(The shots of the actual scene from the overlook didn't turn out all that well, which is why we focus on the rocks here. But here's a shot of the scenery looking down the hill from the overlook.)

Skyward

According to the plaque at its base, this piece in Union Bank Square is called "Aquarius" and was done by an artist named Jerome Kirk.

Because of the moon I attempted to shoot it in the midday light. Which is why I had to tweak them so in "post production."

Looking up

Pick your favorite angle on the glass ceiling in the Wells Fargo Plaza in downtown L.A.

Apocalypse afternoon

(Believe it or not, these are how the shots came out as shot, without computer manipulation. Oh, the power of tweaking the camera settings.)

Blooming

These trees outside the office were in bloom. (Some day I may figure out what kind of tree they are.)

Update: I am led to believe these are white cherry trees. (Thanks to those who helped with comments identifying them.)

Ironside

Splashing by night light

The only decent shot out of many taken of the fountain at California Plaza on this night.

The rest were more like this... let's call it 'pedestrian' quality shot:

Not awful, certainly, but far from what I was hoping to get.

Fire escape

Paws at the light

Dog prints in the cement by the curb.

Glow
